Edwardian Wooden Coal Scuttle *

This vintage wooden coal scuttle / log box is a lovely piece of furniture, possibly oak. When the front handle is pulled, the scuttle tilts forward, allowing coal or logs to be easily taken out. The top surface and, especially the tipping front, have a beautiful inlay decoration. It has its three original brass handles and the four corners have castors to make it easy to move around. It is in generally good condition without scratches on the top surface. Unfortunately, the inner removable metal container for the coal is missing. 15” x 15” x 22” (LxWxH)
